Lion's mane fruiting body: from the mushroom to your cup

A lion's mane mushroom cut in half beside a whole one and a mound of pale extract powder

Lion's mane is an edible mushroom with long, soft white spines.

It has been eaten in East Asia for centuries. In your cup, it's the mushroom itself, as an extract you can drink every day.

The mushroom, not the roots

The part you'd recognize as a mushroom is the fruiting body. Below it, fine threads called mycelium spread through the wood it grows on.

Fruiting body

The mushroom itself, and the part used in the human studies we cite.

Mycelium on grain

Root-like threads, often grown on grain and sold with the grain in it.

Ours is the fruiting body only.

How it's made
